Public Works Authority Director

The Town of Washington Public Works Authority Director oversees the daily operations of the Public Works Department and helps ensure that the Town’s infrastructure, facilities, equipment, and essential services are properly maintained. Listed below are just a few of the responsibilities.

• Overseeing Public Works employees and daily department operations
• Maintaining and managing Town infrastructure, equipment, facilities, and other public assets
• Planning and coordinating maintenance, repair, and improvement projects
• Assisting with departmental budgeting and responsible use of Town resources
• Ensuring compliance with applicable Local, State, and Federal regulations
• Coordinating Public Works response during severe weather, utility issues, and other emergencies
• Working with contractors, engineers, other Town departments, and outside agencies
• Responding to citizen concerns related to streets, utilities, infrastructure, and other Public Works services
• Helping plan for future infrastructure needs and improvements as the community grows

The Public Works Authority Director works closely with Town leadership and staff to keep essential services operating safely and efficiently while helping plan and prepare for the future needs of the Town of Washington.
